Nigerian talent manager and entrepreneur, Ubi Franklin, has stepped in to defend Chioma Rowland after a social media user questioned her contributions to her relationship with superstar singer, Davido.
The conversation started when X user @victorKvng_ wrote:
“Davido has been buying wedding gifts for Chioma so far, not once, not twice. What exactly has Chioma bought for Davido???”
Responding directly, Ubi Franklin dismissed the notion that Chioma doesn’t spoil Davido, explaining that not everything in their relationship is meant for public display.
He wrote:
“Chioma spends on David too, y’all want everything on social media so it looks like it is a competition. I remember David’s birthday 2 years ago, I think when he turned 30, Chioma bought David 30 gifts for his 30th birthday. That it is not shown doesn’t mean it is not done.”
Fans have since been split in their reactions — with some agreeing that private acts of love don’t need social media validation, while others insisted that in the celebrity world, visibility is key to silencing criticism.
