Fresh 105.9 FM, a popular radio station owned by gospel singer Yinka Ayefele, was gutted by fire on Friday night in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident occurred at the station’s premises in the Challenge area of the city. Eyewitnesses reported that the building was engulfed in flames, prompting urgent calls for help.
One witness, Samuel Ibikunle, appealed for swift intervention, saying:
“Fresh FM is currently on fire! We urgently need the Fire Service to respond immediately. Please spread the word and alert the nearest station.”
While the management of Fresh FM or Yinka Ayefele is yet to release an official statement, the Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the development, stating:
“We are already there.”
