The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has launched a scathing attack on Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, accusing him of poor leadership, questionable credentials, and even poor hygiene.
In a viral video, the fiery lawmaker responded to Soludo’s recent claims that she obtained her PhD from an unaccredited university in the United States.
“Go to Court If You Claim My PhD Is Fake”
Ekwunife dismissed the governor’s allegations and challenged him to verify her academic history.
“Go to court if you claim my PhD certificate is fake. Go to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, to verify my master’s degree and to the University of Calabar for my first degree. I did both before obtaining my PhD.”
She further accused Soludo of parading a questionable professorship.
“That professorship he’s flaunting is a mere departmental award, not globally recognized,” she declared.
“Anambra Has Become Insecure Under Soludo”
Turning her criticism to governance, Ekwunife alleged that Anambra has witnessed a decline in peace and security since Soludo assumed office.
“All the bushes in Anambra State are full of people’s corpses. Anambra was a state that every Thursday people came to, but now people are running away. You have failed woefully as governor.”
Harsh Personal Criticism
Going further, Ekwunife accused the governor of poor hygiene in a scathing tirade delivered partly in Igbo.
“Have they not told you that your mouth smells? You’re the dirtiest governor in the whole of Africa. You smell, your armpits smell. Tell your wife to get you deodorant. When you bathe, apply it to your armpits so you can be like your fellow men. When you open your mouth to speak, the odour that comes out is stinking and embarrassing for a governor.”
Political Tensions Rising
Ekwunife also alleged that Soludo was “imposed on Anambra people” by former Governor Willie Obiano and insisted that his administration has done nothing positive for the state.
The fiery remarks have sparked widespread debate across Anambra politics, with observers noting the intensifying war of words ahead of the governorship election.
