Tennis icon Roger Federer, the first man to win 20 Grand Slam singles titles, and former US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro have been named among the nominees for the International Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
The Player Category, which honors ATP and WTA stars with exceptional records on the world stage, includes several distinguished names this year. Federer, regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, is celebrated for redefining the sport during his era alongside rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
The Swiss maestro remains one of only eight men to complete a career Grand Slam, achieving the feat at the 2009 French Open. His tally of major victories includes a record eight Wimbledon titles, six Australian Opens, five US Opens, and one French Open.
Joining Federer and Del Potro on the 2026 ballot is Svetlana Kuznetsova, a four-time Grand Slam champion, with two singles titles (2004 US Open, 2009 French Open) and two in doubles.
In the Contributor Category, nominations went to TV analyst Mary Carillo and long-time tennis administrator Marshall Happer.
The final list of inductees for the 2026 Class will be revealed in November.
