Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner Imisi has dismissed claims that she used a pity strategy to win over viewers and secure votes during her time in the house.
Speaking in a recent interview with Arise TV, the reality star explained that she barely had time to prepare for the show and didn’t have a deliberate strategy going in.
“I didn’t come in with a pity strategy. I didn’t even believe I was going to be picked for the show. When I got the mail, I had only a few days to pack,” she said.
Imisi revealed that she was in Ijebu when she received the acceptance email and had to gather whatever clothes she had on hand.
“I brought all the costumes I took to that location to my sister, then we started planning,” she added.
From Underdog to Winner
Imisi was announced the winner of BBNaija Season 10 on October 5, 2025, by the show’s host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, marking the end of a highly competitive and drama-filled season.
Her authenticity and calm demeanor throughout the show earned her a strong fanbase, despite early online criticism that she was “playing safe” or “using emotions” to attract sympathy.
Since her victory, Imisi has been making media rounds and is expected to announce upcoming brand partnerships and projects soon.
