Morocco claimed victory over Argentina in the early hours of Monday morning to win this year’s FIFA U-20 World Cup.
According to CREEBHILLS, Yassir Zabiri opened the scoring for Morocco in the 12th minute of the match. The 20-year-old Famalicão winger then doubled the lead a few minutes later, giving the North Africans a strong advantage in the first half.
No goals were scored in the second half, as the team held firm to secure their win after 90 minutes at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos.
Earlier in the tournament, Morocco advanced to the final after defeating France in the semi-final, while Argentina earned their spot by overcoming Colombia.
Colombia went on to clinch third place after edging France 1-0 in the playoff match.
