Actress Taraji P. Henson is serving major nostalgia this Halloween with her ongoing salute to music icon Janet Jackson.
Fresh off recreating Jackson’s viral “Who’s doing the bending?” scene from For Colored Girls, the Oscar-nominated star took things up a notch — transforming into Janet’s unforgettable 1997 “The Velvet Rope” era look.
The Empire actress didn’t stop at one costume. Henson paid homage to several of Janet’s most iconic visuals from that era, including the Got ’til It’s Gone and Together Again music videos. Each look was a striking nod to the pop legend’s signature style — bold, sensual, and effortlessly timeless.
Henson’s stunning transformation comes as she prepares to star in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, Why Did I Get Married…Again? — a project that notably sparked buzz when fans noticed Janet Jackson, who starred in the original franchise, wasn’t listed among the returning cast.
As fans celebrate Taraji’s creative tribute, many are calling her Halloween homage one of the best celebrity transformations of 2025.
