Nigeria’s Super Falcons have once again stamped their dominance on the African football landscape, securing the CAF Women’s National Team of the Year award for the third straight year—2023, 2024, and now 2025.
The prestigious announcement was made at the award ceremony held at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco.
The Super Falcons emerged victorious ahead of strong contenders, the Black Queens of Ghana and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, following their remarkable triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where they clinched a record 10th title in August.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, accepted the award on behalf of the team.
This latest honour further solidifies the Super Falcons’ unmatched legacy in African women’s football, reaffirming their consistency, strength, and dominance on the continent.
