Nollywood actor Taye Arimoro has publicly challenged the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), and the Association of Movie Producers (AMP) following his suspension over an on-set altercation.

The incident involved a confrontation on a movie set, during which Arimoro was accused of assaulting the production manager and a driver.

According to the joint document dated November 27, 2025, the guilds concluded that Arimoro was the primary aggressor.

They also accused him of circulating a misleading live video that distorted the sequence of events and wrongly implicated actress and producer Peggy Ovire, who was not present during the initial confrontation.

The guilds said the suspension was issued “from responsibility, compassion, and a desire to restore trust” within the film industry.
