Controversial clergyman Odumeje has issued a stern warning to those who criticise him on social media, declaring that anyone who attempts to “drag” him online will face spiritual repercussions.
Addressing his congregation recently, Odumeje boasted about the spiritual influence he claims to possess, stating that people have been returning to him for divine help since 1996. He insisted that no other spiritual figure performs miracles the way he does and argued that critics only challenge him because they underestimate his power.
According to Odumeje, responding directly to online confrontations isn’t necessary. Instead, he said he simply checks the social media profile of anyone who targets him and deals with the issue “spiritually.”
He also claimed that the ailments he says he removes from people are stored spiritually, and he can assign an affliction to anyone who provokes him.
Part of his statement reads:
“If I don’t have power none of you would come here. Since 1996, if you leave, you return. You don’t have a choice. Is there anyone who does miracle like I do? Nobody drags me; if you drag me on the internet, I will handle you. I’m not going to drag with you — I’ll just carry your profile, go to bed, and start dealing with you. All the sickness I remove, I keep them in a storehouse. If you trouble me, I’ll go and check for the one that fits you so your body will calm down.”
His remarks have sparked renewed debate online, with many reacting to his comments about using spiritual power against critics.
