Nicki Minaj has claimed she is in the process of finalising her United States citizenship after receiving a so-called “Trump Gold Card” from President Donald Trump.

The Trinidadian-born rapper shared a photo on X on Wednesday showing herself holding the card, which reportedly grants accelerated residency in the U.S. She suggested the move was influenced by public pressure and her ongoing support for Trump.

“Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalizing that citizenship paperwork as we speak as per MY wonderful, gracious, charming President,” Nicki Minaj wrote, referring to herself as “CitizenNIKA.”

According to information published on a government website, the Trump Gold Card programme offers residency — and a pathway to citizenship — to applicants willing to pay a $15,000 Department of Homeland Security processing fee alongside a $1 million contribution. A higher-tier Platinum Card option is also expected to launch, requiring a $5 million contribution and allowing extended stays in the U.S. without taxation on non-U.S. income for up to 270 days.

The Super Bass rapper has been an outspoken supporter of Trump in recent months. Speaking at the Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C., she described herself as “probably the President’s number one fan,” adding that criticism only strengthens her support for him.
