President Donald Trump of the United States has issued a stark warning to Iran’s military and police forces, urging them to lay down their arms or face deadly consequences.
Trump delivered the warning in a post shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Thursday.
“It’s now time for you to drop your arms or face nothing but death,” the US President wrote.
The warning comes amid escalating tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran following recent military confrontations. The crisis intensified after the reported death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, during ongoing hostilities that began over the weekend.
According to reports, the conflict has seen multiple attacks on Iranian military assets, including the sinking of an Iranian Navy ship and several strikes targeting key facilities across the country.
In the latest development, the United States military reportedly bombed an Iranian drone carrier vessel on Thursday as part of continued operations aimed at weakening Iran’s naval capabilities.
Iran, however, has continued to retaliate with strikes targeting both the United States and its regional ally, Israel, raising concerns about a wider regional escalation.
