Actress and podcaster Biola Adebayo has taken down her controversial interview with Olanrewaju Omiyinka from YouTube and also hidden it on her Instagram reels following widespread criticism.
The interview had sparked outrage after Baba Ijesha addressed the case that led to his conviction, insisting he is neither a pedophile nor a rapist.
He described parts of the incident as a “setup” and claimed he was misunderstood, even suggesting that elements of the 2021 situation were linked to “movie preparation.”
He also accused comedian Princess of betrayal and expressed disappointment with Iyabo Ojo, stating that he had once cared for her children and felt hurt that she doubted him.
Those comments quickly triggered backlash across social media, with many people criticising both the actor and Biola for giving him a platform to share such claims.
As reactions intensified, Biola moved to remove the video from public view, taking it down from her YouTube channel and restricting access to it on Instagram.
Baba Ijesha was convicted in 2021 for sexual assault involving a minor and served a prison sentence. Since then, Iyabo Ojo and other industry figures have remained vocal about seeking justice for the victim.
Iyabo has also issued a clear warning to the actor, telling him to stop mentioning her children and stating that she will take legal action if he continues.
The situation continues to generate strong reactions, with many raising questions about accountability, media responsibility, and the limits of giving controversial figures a platform.
