Popular Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has revealed that she does not feel like a married woman, despite being in a long-term union.
The actress made the statement during a recent interview on the African A-List podcast, where she opened up about her relationship with her husband, Kayode Salako.
Describing him as the “definition of peace,”Foluke Daramola highlighted the level of freedom and understanding she enjoys in her marriage.
“I don’t feel like I’m married. My husband is the definition of peace for me. If I tell Kayode now that I will be going to Canada tonight and will spend up to a year there, he will say bye-bye. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t love me; he just feels like he shouldn’t cage me.
“So I don’t feel like I’m married. He is my very good friend and my greatest cheerleader. When we fight, you would think that the marriage is going to end, but give us two hours, and everything will be settled,” she added.
The revelation comes two years after Kayode Salako confirmed that he had married another woman, identified as Oluwafunke Oyegoke-Salako, while still being married to Daramola.
At the time, he defended his decision by stating that he had been married to Foluke Daramola for 13 years without having a biological child.
The couple originally tied the knot in 2010.
