South African Grammy-winning singer Tyla has shut down rumours claiming she has signed a multi-million-dollar management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, clarifying that the reports are false.

The singer addressed the speculation after widespread claims suggested she had joined the entertainment company, with many fans believing the reports following a digital billboard takeover in New York City’s Times Square.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Tyla dismissed the rumours while using the opportunity to promote her upcoming album.

She wrote:

“I’m not signed to Roc Nation. But my album A*POP drops 24/7. (JULY 24 2026).”

Her statement immediately put an end to the speculation that had circulated across social media in recent days.

The reports had claimed Tyla signed a new global management and partnership deal with Roc Nation, with many interpreting the Times Square digital display as confirmation of the alleged partnership.

However, Tyla’s public denial has now made it clear that she has not joined the entertainment company.

A review of Roc Nation’s official artist roster also does not list Tyla among the company’s managed artists, aligning with her statement.

Rather than discussing management deals, Tyla made it clear that her attention is firmly on the release of her forthcoming album, A*POP, scheduled for July 24, 2026.

The project is one of the year’s most anticipated releases and is expected to continue the global momentum she has built following the success of her previous music.

Although she has ruled out a move to Roc Nation, Tyla’s international career continues to flourish.

She recently performed as one of the headline acts at Afro Nation Portugal 2026, held at Praia da Rocha in Portimão from July 3 to July 5.

The South African star shared the stage with major international artists including Burna Boy, Wizkid, Asake, Gunna and Kehlani, further cementing her position as one of Africa’s fastest-rising global music stars.

With the Roc Nation rumours now settled, fans are turning their attention to the release of A*POP, eager to see what Tyla has planned for the next chapter of her career.
