Popular Nollywood movie producer and director, Yomi Fabiyi has been called out by some of his colleagues in the industry over his just-released movie which centred around Baba Ijesha’s alleged sexual assault case.
Baba Ijesha has been trending on social media for the past few weeks after he was accused of molesting a minor who happens to be the foster daughter of comedian Princess Damilola.
The veteran actor was held in jail for some days before he was finally released on bail, (See moment he was released here).
However, things took a dramatic twist on social media yesterday, July 5, when Yomi Fabiyi released his much-anticipated movie titled ‘OKo Iyabo’.
The movie raised eyebrows on social media as fans condemn the actor for releasing a movie that centres around Baba Ijesha’s case with Princess.
Yomi Fabiyi was accused of not changing the victim’s name in his movie, a move that saw the movie being reported.
Top personalities in the entertainment industry have also spoken out with the likes of Tonto Dikeh and Iyabo Ojo calling the actor out.
Tonto Dikeh via a post on her Instagram account slammed Yomi Fabiyi for indulging in such activities. According to the mother of one, she’s ashamed she met someone like the actor.
Iyabo Ojo also unleased her wrath on Yomi Fabiyi, noting that he’s using Baba Ijesha’s situation to project his fame despite calling himself a good friend.
