Early Life
Mohammed Ismail Sherif (born January 9, 2002, 24 years old) is from Ashanti Region’s Konongo. He is a Ghanaian musician and composer, from Konongo “Zongo” to the entire globe.
Growing up in the neighbourhoods of Konongo, Ghana’s Ashanti Region, influenced Sherif’s musical style. He chose trap music to represent the difficulties he and other young boys his age experience in their daily lives.
Blacko is fluent in English, Pidgin, and Twi. After launching his first and second sermon hitmakers, Black Sherif is the greatest Kumerica singer ever recorded. Blacko did not originate from an impoverished family, despite how he sings about it.
He chose street life intentionally to gain a deeper understanding of how young people struggle. In a recent interview with Pure Fm, Blacko stated:
“I’m from a very comfortable home. Not super-rich, but very comfortable. I have chosen street life. I’m doing this for myself because my biggest fear is failure. I don’t want anything to happen before I wake up and build my life.”
Depending on your point of view, this either qualifies him as a true artist or a phony. The entire motto of Blacko is that he is fighting poverty, although he isn’t even impoverished!
