Linda Ikeji, a popular blogger, boasted of employing 100 attorneys to appeal the N25 million judgment against her for allegedly publishing libelous content on her site.

Mrs Ajibola Ajayi, daughter of former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, said this on Twitter in response to a judgment by the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, ordering her to pay N25 million in general and exemplary damages to a claimant.

She also chastised Olaniwun Ajayi LP, the law firm that represented Ajayi, for making the matter public on Twitter.

According to the law firm, her blog was also asked to issue a written apology.

According to Linda Ikeji, Ajayi referred to some Ladoke Akintola University of Technology protesting students as a “generation of mannerless children.”

After the publication, the former Oyo governor’s daughter made a press statement claiming that the Instagram page mentioned by Linda Ikeji, ‘conceited csj,’ was not hers.

Following that, Ajayi enlisted the help of a law company, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, to handle the case.

According to reports, the court ruled that Linda Ikeji’s publishing was “false and malicious” in a judgment issued on April 12, 2022.

Linda claims that the law company filed the same action without her knowledge in both the Lagos and Abuja High Courts.

She described Olaniwun Ajayi LP’s lawyer, Ogunmuyiwa Balogun, as “inexperienced 26 years old” in addition to branding him a “idiot.”

“Lol,” she tweeted. You’re a complete moron. I understand you’re a 26-year-old with little experience. How can you file on the same matter in Lagos and Abuja? Then you don’t even let me know? Are you prepared for the appeals court and the Supreme Court? And what about a countersuit? Tell your client that he or she has to get ready!

“Does this imply I’m the biggest customer your firm has ever sued and won against?” “Also, if you’re using my name to gain clout like this on social media, gloating and smiling… does this indicate I’m the biggest client your firm has ever sued and won against?” Is this how you go around announcing your victories? I think you should be sued for utilizing my name in this manner.

“Am I meant to be terrified?” I have enough money to hire 100 lawyers. So let’s get started!

“They’re such a large law practice, and they’re chasing clout on Twitter with Linda Ikeji?” I’m the most important thing that has ever happened to them? Lol. I’m hoping they’ll keep tweeting when I catch up with them. I’m finished speaking. Thank you all for your love and support. “May God bless you.”
