Popular Nigerian rapper Olamide Adedeji has acknowledged that his collaboration with Wizkid was beneficial to him at the beginning of his career.
The YBNL leader made the comment while remembering their friendly connection in an interview on Apple Music Africa.
He recalled how, at the time of their collaboration, Wizkid and his old boss, Banky W, the founder of EME, supported him because he had just left his record company, Coded Tunes.
According to the ‘Wo’ crooner, the collaboration gave him an edge and made things easier for him in the industry.
Recall that Big Wiz and Baddo worked together on the song “Omo Toh Shan” when he just left Coded Tunes to stand alone.

In similar news, street-hop singer, Ahmed Ololade also known as Asake recently spoke on how Olamide signed him to YBNL Nation.
He said that before he got signed to Olamide’s YBNL nation, it took years of dedication towards achieving his heart desire.
Speaking in an interview with Cool FM, Asake revealed that he’s been sending messages to Olamide since 2020 but the label boss didn’t respond to any of his texts.
According to the ‘Sungba’ hit maker, he would slide into Olamide’s DM often asking for help and reminding him about how he helped his friends, of which Fireboy is among.
The singer further said he attended the same school with Fireboy, but the ‘peru’ hit-maker experienced a breakthrough in the entertainment business before him so he always brought it up while texting Olamide all in a bid to get the YBNL founder’s attention.
He added that sadly, all that didn’t work out at the time, but his dream turned to reality with the release of his smash hit, ‘Omo Ope’.
On how he met Olamide, Asake said the rap artiste put a call across to him and asked for a meeting only for him to reach there and get asked to join the YBNL family.
Asake reminisced on how excited he was and noted that he didn’t think twice about the offer before as he accepted immediately.
