Samklef, a prominent stage name for Samuel Oguachuba, a Nigerian music producer and performer, has declared that he and Wizkid are the “original creators of the new afrobeat sound.”
In response to the continuing competition for supremacy in the Nigerian music industry, the “Noni” crooner made this statement via his Twitter account on Thursday.
He advised anyone who had any reservations to look him up on Google.
Sharing a throwback picture of himself and Wizkid, he wrote, “The original creators of the new Afrobeat sound! Nack ur head for wall when u see this post. Samklef x wizkid. Go do ur home work guys. Google is there to help u. Aw! Aw!” (sic)

In another tweet, Samklef countered Davido’s claim that he and Wizkid were the first young Nigerian artistes to hit stardom.
The producer said Wizkid and Olamide were actually the kids that first blew up in the Nigerian music industry.
Sharing a picture of Wizkid and Olamide, Samklef wrote, “The two street kids that started the game. Others joined them. Samklef dey talk am as e be.”
