Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes decided to let teammate Marcus Rashford take a penalty during their Premier League victory over Everton.
Bruno Fernandes trusted Rashford’s confidence in his abilities to score from the spot, leading to both players successfully converting penalties in the Red Devils’ 2-0 win.
When asked by TNT Sport (via Metro) about his decision to let Rashford take the second penalty, Fernandes responded:
“We both kick the penalties. I asked Marcus if he wanted to take and he said he was confident.
“He is one of the penalty takers that the manager chooses. I felt I had my one; Rashy could get his goal from the penalty.”
