Popular content creator and lawyer, Timi Agbaje, provided insight into why crossdresser Bobrisky was imprisoned for the same crime for which socialite Cubana Chief Priest was granted bail.
Bobrisky was sentenced to 6 months after admitting guilt to the EFCC’s accusation of naira abuse.
Similarly, Cubana Chief Priest faced charges but was granted a N10M bail by the court.
Timi Agbaje, with a legal background, explained that Bobrisky’s guilty plea led to his imprisonment, while Cubana Chief Priest’s denial allowed for bail.
The difference in outcomes was due to their differing responses to the accusations.
Cubana Chief Priest on the other hand was given bail, because under the law, no case exists, until the EFCC are able to provide the serial number of the money as well as its source.
Timi Agbaje added that it can also be argued that the money in the video wasn’t real.
