Lookman Finds the Net, but Atalanta Suffer 3-2 Defeat at Home to Como

In an exciting Serie A match on Tuesday night, Atalanta lost 3-2 to newly promoted Como at home.

Despite Davide Zappacosta’s and Ademola Lookman’s goals, Como, captained by great footballer Cesc Fabregas, claimed their first victory.

In the postponed encounter from Monday, Atalanta took the lead in the 18th minute when Zappacosta hit a half-volley from the edge of the box.

However, Como countered with a second-half barrage. Gabriel Strefezza equalized immediately after the break, and Nico Paz’s deflected strike from Sead Kolasinac scored 2-1.

Alieu Fadera extended the lead moments later with a fine finish.

Though Atalanta pressed hard in the final stages, they only managed a consolation penalty in the dying minute, converted by Nigerian star Lookman after Vanja Vlahovic was fouled.

Despite the effort, Como held on for a famous win that will go down in their history books.
