Atiku Denies Dumping PDP for SDP

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed deep sorrow over the recent spate of violent attacks and explosions in Borno, Plateau, Kano, and Kebbi states, which claimed over 50 lives. The incidents, described as heartbreaking, have once again underscored Nigeria’s worsening security crisis.

In a statement shared on social media, Atiku extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and the affected communities, stressing that these tragedies go beyond mere statistics.

“These are real stories of shattered families and stolen dreams,” he said.

The presidential hopeful called for urgent, people-centered reforms to Nigeria’s security architecture. He emphasized that the country cannot continue to accept the current scale of bloodshed as normal.

“Nigeria urgently needs a decisive, people-centered approach to security, one that prioritizes human life above all else,” Atiku stated.

He concluded his message with a solemn prayer for the souls of the departed:
“May the departed rest in peace.”
