Nigerian music superstar Wizkid created a memorable moment for fans at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Sunday by bringing his son, Zion Balogun, on stage during his electrifying performance.
In a now-viral video, the Grammy-winning singer was seen carrying Zion onto the stage. The young boy, looking visibly shy, briefly faced the massive crowd before walking off, sparking laughter from both Wizkid and the audience.
Fans flooded social media with reactions, gushing over the adorable father-son moment. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote:
“Zion wey no like crowd and camera.”
Another added:
“The difference btw Bolu and Zion is glaring… Bolu owned the stage… Zion dey shy.”
Wizkid, real name Ayodeji Balogun, thrilled the sold-out crowd at the 17,500-capacity venue with hits like Essence, Joro, Money & Love, and Slow, backed by the Color of Noize Orchestra under the direction of Derrick Hodge.
Jamaican star Shenseea also joined him on stage to perform their collaboration Work Me Out, after opening the concert with her own set.
Zion is Wizkid’s third child and his first with manager and partner Jada Pollock. In March 2024, Jada shared clips of Zion training at the Nigel James Elite Coaching Academy, a football school affiliated with Real Madrid.
This performance at the Hollywood Bowl marked one of Wizkid’s first major US shows since releasing his 2024 album Morayo, dedicated to his late mother, Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
