“Focus on Today, Not 2027” – Yul Edochie Urges President Tinubu to Tackle Insecurity, Cost of Living

God grant Tinubu long life to deliver Nigerians from suffering – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yul Edochie has issued a heartfelt appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to focus on the country’s current challenges rather than becoming entangled in political conversations about the 2027 general elections.

The actor, who has publicly supported President Tinubu in the past, took to his Instagram page to express concern over the rising cost of living and the worsening security situation affecting millions of Nigerians.

“To my dear President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, @officialasiwajubat. Please don’t let politicians distract you with 2027. We’re still in 2025,” Edochie wrote.
“High cost of living and high rate of insecurity are still ravaging Nigerians. These two remain the most pressing issues to deal with. May God lead you, sir.”

Yul Edochie’s post comes at a time when political tension is already brewing ahead of the 2027 elections, with opposition coalitions forming and debates intensifying across various platforms.

The actor also recently urged Tinubu to consider reviving the controversial cashless policy implemented by former President Muhammadu Buhari, arguing that it helped curb criminal activities and stabilize economic spending.

Yul Edochie’s message is resonating with many Nigerians online who feel that the government needs to prioritize the immediate needs of the people rather than get distracted by early political ambitions.
