Tamar Braxton is in recovery after suffering a frightening accident that she says nearly cost her life.
The 47-year-old singer and reality star shared the shocking news on her Instagram Stories, revealing she was discovered by a friend “in a pool of blood” after sustaining severe injuries over the weekend.
“I struggled to write this, but everyone keeps calling me, and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore I’m so weak,” Braxton began. “I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood by my friend with a face injury.
As the days go by, the worse it is. I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins… pray for me for real. I don’t even know what happened to me.”
Tamar Braxton accompanied her post with the worship song Spirit Lead Me by Clavier, underscoring the spiritual tone of her message.
Following her announcement, the Love and War singer also reshared a Bible passage from Proverbs 31 — a scripture honoring strong women.
Tamar Braxton’s health scare comes not long after she appeared with her sisters on The Braxtons revival last year, where she joined Toni, Trina, and Towanda in paying tribute to their late sister Traci, who passed in 2022 after a battle with oesophageal cancer.
