Alexander Isak has shared his excitement after sealing a sensational transfer to Liverpool on deadline day.
The Premier League champions confirmed the signing of the 25-year-old forward in a deal worth £125 million — a fee that surpasses the previous British transfer record of £115 million, paid by Chelsea to Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023.
Isak has committed to a six-year contract with the Reds, making him one of the club’s most expensive and high-profile acquisitions in history.
“I feel amazing. It’s been a long journey to get here,” the Swedish international said.
“But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for. It’s something I’m proud of and I’m really looking forward to it.
“I’m just happy it’s done and that I can get back to work. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates and the fans, and getting back out there.”
