Call Police or me when you see danger, we don’t sleep – Otti to Abia people

Alex Otti

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has called on residents to promptly report any suspicious movement or activity that could endanger the state’s security.

Speaking on Wednesday during Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day celebration at the Government House, Umuahia, Otti assured citizens that his administration remains committed to ensuring peace and safety across the state.

“If you see something, say something. Call the Nigeria Police, the DSS, the Army—just call the security agencies or call me. We don’t sleep. And the reason we don’t sleep is so that you can sleep,” he said.

The governor praised the dedication of Abia’s security service commanders, commending them for their efforts in maintaining order. He also encouraged residents to continue supporting security agencies, noting that such cooperation would boost their morale and effectiveness.

Beyond security, Otti urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite current economic challenges, stressing the need for resilience and collective effort. He highlighted that Abia has undergone notable development transformations in the past 28 months under his leadership.
