Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has announced herself as the President General of the Single Mothers’ Association, drawing attention and reactions across social media.
The actress made the declaration while speaking at fellow actress Lola Alao’s birthday party. A video from the event has since gone viral, capturing Iyabo Ojo confidently addressing the topic of single motherhood.
In the clip, she emphasized that societal attitudes have evolved, stating, “Gone are the days that being a single mother was a stigma.”
Iyabo Ojo went on to celebrate the progress and achievements of single mothers and their children, noting that “Single mothers’ children are now doing great things in our society.”
She further spoke about changing dynamics in relationships, saying, “Now, men are chasing and even begging us the single mothers that they want to marry us as a wife and not side chick because we have experience.”
Reinforcing her message of confidence and resilience, the actress added, “If a man leaves you, another man will accept you. I’m now the President General of the Single Mothers Association.”
