Former NBA star Lamar Odom has completed a 30-day rehabilitation programme at iRely Recovery in Los Angeles after his recent DUI arrest.
The 46-year-old reportedly entered treatment shortly after the incident. At the time of his arrest, Odom publicly maintained that neither alcohol nor narcotics were involved. However, police alleged that his vehicle smelled strongly of marijuana when he was pulled over and claimed he admitted to smoking earlier that day.
According to his manager, Gina Rodriguez, Lamar Odom chose to seek help to address his marijuana use, expressing concern that it could potentially lead him back to harder substances. The former basketball player has previously been open about his struggles with addiction.
Odom selected iRely Recovery after reconnecting with the facility’s CEO, Vinsent Franke. In 2023, Franke had invited him to visit the centre after hearing him deliver an emotional speech at the Annual California Addiction Conference. Following the DUI incident, Odom reportedly reached out for support and was admitted into the programme.
Now out of rehab, Lamar Odom is said to be turning his attention to a new business venture. Sources indicate he is working on HealLO.co, an AI-powered nationwide platform designed to connect individuals with wellness and treatment centres across the United States.
