Tems, the sensational Afrobeats singer, recently spoke about the harassment she faced when rumors circulated that she was pregnant for American rapper, Future.
Recall that speculation spread on social media with a video showing Tems appearing to have a baby bump.
However, Tems swiftly denied these claims, clarifying that she was not expecting a child.
During a recent interview with Lagos-based radio station The Beat 99.9 FM, Tems revealed that she received death threats via direct messages on social media.
These threats were a result of her alleged involvement with Future, who In was believed to be the father of her reported pregnancy.
Furthermore, despite their collaboration on the Grammy-winning song “Wait For U” by Drake, Tems stated that she has never actually met Future.
She said:
“When I heard [the rumours] that I was pregnant, I didn’t actually think anybody believed it. I didn’t know it was serious until I started getting messages like death threats, like, ‘How dare you? Of all the people in the world, Future, really?’ And I’ve never met him in my life. So it’s crazy.”
