Kylian Mbappe has described it as a tough choice to remain at Paris Saint-Germain in 2022 instead of moving to Real Madrid as previously anticipated.
The 25-year-old ultimately decided to stay with PSG, even renewing his contract.
Now, after playing his final game for the Ligue 1 champions, Mbappe will depart as a free agent this summer.
On his decision to stay with PSG in 2022, he told CNN: “It was more than just staying at PSG. It was the World Cup in Qatar.
“There were many things around these things. It was a big decision, a difficult decision… but I don’t regret anything.
“It was not an easy situation and I wish nobody that.”
