It’s better to be respected than being liked – Chidimma Adetshina

South African Activists Call for Disqualification of Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina

Miss Universe’s first runner-up, Chidimma Vanessa Adetshina, recently expressed her views on respect and popularity.

She believes that respect holds more value than being liked, as she stated during the final round of the 73rd Miss Universe Competition held at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

“I feel like being respected is more important than being liked. We live in a society where we often don’t feel respected because of who we are, and I feel like when you respect yourself, you respect others around you and respect is really important,” she said.

Chidimma Adetshina emerged as the first runner-up, losing the crown to Miss Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig.

Chidimma Adetshina’s remarkable performance and elegance captured the hearts of both judges and viewers alike.
