Akwa Ibom gov, Umo Eno reacts to daughter’s ritual allegations

Akwa Ibom Governor's Daughter, Jane Ufot, Accuses Father of Endangering Her Life in Viral Video

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has asserted that despite his daughter Jane’s allegations of ritual sacrifice, his family remains intact.

Jane had accused her father of trying to use her for sacrifice, stating in a video that he should be held accountable if anything were to happen to her because she does not want to meet the same fate as her mother.

Jane expressed her refusal to be a sacrifice like her late mother and brother who died mysteriously.

In response, Governor Umo Eno dismissed the video as the work of detractors, emphasizing his commitment and focus.

Speaking to reporters in Uyo, the state capital, the governor maintained that he cannot be swayed by outside distractions and attributed the circulation of the old video to political opponents trying to divert attention.

Umo Eno said: “My family is intact and you can see all of them here. The event you are talking about took place immediately my wife died last year, so why is it surfacing now on the eve of our second anniversary when we are celebrating the milestone we have achieved?

“That teaches me that there are detractors around. My family is intact, that’s Jane herself there. We are a good family.

“I can’t be detracted, I remain focused. I will continue to serve Akwa Ibom people.

“My family is intact. Even in politics, family should be off limits.”
