“Dress up every day” – BBNaija Star Tolani baj Shares Key Survival Tips for Season 10 Housemates

As anticipation builds for the premiere of Big Brother Naija Season 10, former housemate Tolanibaj has offered crucial advice to aspiring contestants hoping to make their mark on the reality TV show.

In a candid video posted via her TikTok page, Tolanibaj stressed the importance of self-authenticity, appearance, strategy, and post-show planning to those preparing to enter the house.

Be yourself—that’s the first rule. Don’t go into the Big Brother house and be boring. Nigerians will notice and they won’t like it. It won’t work in your favour,” she cautioned.

She emphasized the importance of personal branding, urging contestants to dress up daily and take full advantage of the show as a platform to market themselves.

“Dress up every day. The house may feel like home, but remember, it’s also a show—and an opportunity for fashion brands to notice you. Ladies, wear your makeup every day. Guys, look sharp. Even though Big Brother provides clothes for Saturday night parties, bring your own just in case you don’t like what they offer.”

Tolanibaj also reminded prospective housemates to approach relationships in the house with caution.

“Your housemates are not necessarily your friends. Just because you’re living together for months doesn’t mean you’re building lifelong friendships. You’re colleagues in a competitive game. If genuine friendships come out of the house, that’s great—but don’t expect it. When the energy changes after the show, don’t be surprised.”

Another critical piece of advice centered on life after Big Brother Naija. She warned that contestants should plan for life beyond the show as the spotlight fades quickly.

“Make sure you have a plan for after the show. When it ends, the organizers won’t be responsible for you. If you’re hoping to depend on the prize money, remember—it won’t come all at once. Payouts are usually gradual, so don’t make reckless decisions. Plan ahead.”

Finally, Tolanibaj stressed that the real challenge begins after eviction or after the show concludes.

“The real show starts after Big Brother. Whether you win or not, what you do afterwards matters most. It’s not about how far you go in the house—it’s about what you make of the exposure once you leave,” she concluded.

Her words come as hundreds of hopefuls prepare to battle for a coveted spot in what promises to be one of the most watched BBNaija seasons yet.
