Nigerian singer and Zeh Nation boss Portable has rejected a ₦120 million offer to face off with activist VeryDarkMan in a boxing match, declaring that he will only fight if the purse hits ₦1 billion.
In a viral video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Portable dismissed the proposed amount — ₦100 million for the winner and ₦20 million for the loser, as pledged by talent manager Soso Soberekon — claiming it’s not enough for someone of his stature.
“I don collect money wey pass ₦20 million, my fans dey give me. The ₦100 million my fans dey give me. ₦100 million small for me to fight VeryDarkMan, make them give me ₦1 billion,” Portable said.
He didn’t stop there. The singer boldly stated that if the money was right, he’d not only fight but defeat VeryDarkMan completely — even joking about using traditional powers (juju) after beating him physically.
“If I see someone who’ll give me ₦1 billion, I’ll fight him. I’ll beat him totally. Before I use juju on him, I’ll fight him,” he added.
Portable also taunted fans and commentators who suggested the fight, claiming they fear VeryDarkMan themselves and are using him to fight their battles.
The clip has stirred heavy reactions online, with netizens debating whether Portable is dodging the match or simply knows his worth.
“Give me ₦1billion and I’ll fight Verydarkman, I will hit him with jazz and finish him, ₦100million is too small”
