Man United Continue Fine Run Under Carrick With 2-0 Win Over Spurs

Manchester United recorded their fourth consecutive victory under interim boss Michael Carrick after defeating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off.

Since taking over from Ruben Amorim, Carrick has overseen an impressive turnaround at Old Trafford, with wins against Manchester City, Arsenal, Fulham, and now Spurs, strengthening United’s push for a top-four finish.

The Red Devils initially struggled to break down Tottenham’s defence, but the game swung in their favour when Spurs captain Cristian Romero was shown a straight red card. Referee Michael Oliver sent off the Argentine defender for a reckless tackle on Casemiro.

United quickly capitalised on the numerical advantage, with Bryan Mbeumo opening the scoring after expertly finishing a well-worked corner routine.

After the break, Bruno Fernandes doubled United’s lead, sealing a comfortable victory and ensuring Carrick’s side remained firmly in the top four.

The win takes Manchester United to 44 points, underlining their strong form and growing confidence as they continue to build momentum under Carrick’s leadership.
