Atletico Madrid defeated Inter on penalties to go to the quarterfinals

Atletico Madrid advanced to the Champions League quarter-finals after overcoming Inter on penalties.

Despite Inter’s 1-0 advantage in the first leg, Atletico rallied to win 2-1 in the second leg in Spain, taking the match to extra time.

Federico Dimarco scored a well-worked goal to give Inter the lead in the heated match.

However, Atletico immediately answered within two minutes with a goal from Antoine Griezmann, bringing the score to 1-1.

As the game entered extra time, both teams pushed for the winning goal, but neither could break through.

With the score still deadlocked after extra time, the game went to penalties.
