The Ogun State Police Command has brought the controversial Nigerian musician, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, to court for arraignment.
On Thursday morning, Portable was presented in the Isabo High Court in Abeokuta, Ogun State, following his surrender to the police a few hours earlier.
Portable had been declared wanted by the police on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, for allegedly assaulting three officials from the Ogun Planning and Development Permit Authority, OGPDPA.
After surrendering himself to the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday, Portable was transferred to the Ogun police and subsequently appeared in court to face the charges against him.
The incident occurred when the OGPDPA officials attempted to seal his bar due to a lack of approved permits and inadequate air space, leading to the alleged attack by the singer.
The incident led to the arrest and arraignment of his nine associates on a five-count charge of armed violence, felony, obstruction, assault, and intent to kill.
