Grammy Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has opened up about the importance of vision in achieving success.
Speaking with NBC 4 at the premiere of his new documentary, Wizkid: Long Live Lagos, at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York on Friday, the global music star emphasized that success begins with belief and foresight.
When asked if he always envisioned reaching his current level of fame and influence, Wizkid responded confidently:
“Yeah, absolutely, man. You have to dream it before you achieve it. So, yeah, I’ve always known I would be successful.”
The 34-year-old Afrobeats icon went on to encourage young people to remain authentic, work diligently, and maintain their faith.
“Stay true to yourself, keep working hard, and never stop believing in God,” he advised.
The premiere was also a special family moment, as Wizkid and his partner Jada Pollock officially introduced their daughter, Morayo, to the public. The singer was seen cradling the toddler as he posed for photos with Jada and members of his team.
