Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has stirred reactions after issuing a warning to fellow Yorubas over the upcoming general elections.
In a video shared online, the artist, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, threatened spiritual consequences for anyone who does not support the re-election of Bola Tinubu.
Portable claimed he had been engaged by the All Progressives Congress to campaign for the president, suggesting he would soon begin grassroots mobilization efforts.
“We need peace, we want peace. If you don’t want war in Nigeria, you better vote for Tinubu.
“Thunder and Ogun will strike any Yoruba man who doesn’t. I have been signed, given APC clothes — don’t worry, I wll soon start sharing rice and vegetable oil.”
