Nollywood actress and producer Osas Ighodaro has expressed excitement after two films she executive-produced secured multiple nominations at the upcoming Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
Taking to Instagram, Osas shared her joy over the recognition of 3 Cold Dishes and Colors of Fire, describing the moment as a rewarding milestone for the entire cast and crew behind both projects.
“Woop Woop!! I am a very proud Executive Producer doing my happy dance right now… We continue to give God all the Glory!” she wrote, while congratulating everyone involved in the productions.
She praised the dedication and talent that went into the films, noting that the long hours and creative effort have now been acknowledged on a major stage.
At the 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, 3 Cold Dishes earned nominations in major categories, including best movie, best screenplay, best music score, and best director.
Colors of Fire also secured nominations for best lead actor, best supporting actor, best costume design, and best art direction.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for May 9 in Lagos.
3 Cold Dishes, directed by Asurf Oluseyi and written by Tomi Adesina, tells the story of three women who reunite after being trafficked as teenagers and seek justice against those responsible. The film features actors such as Wale Ojo and Femi Jacobs.
Colors of Fire, directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, explores themes of love, tradition, and conflict between rival clans. Its cast includes Uzor Arukwe, Mercy Aigbe, Femi Branch, and Gabriel Afolayan.
Both films are expected to be strong contenders at this year’s ceremony, reflecting the growing influence of Nigerian storytelling on the continental stage.
