Nollywood actress Toyin Adewale has dismissed viral reports claiming that her son, singer Mayorkun, lost his home to a fire incident.
The report, which circulated online, alleged that Mayorkun’s Lagos residence was affected by a fire following an explosion, with claims that he and his family narrowly escaped.
Reacting on Instagram, Toyin strongly criticised the publication behind the story, questioning why such information was shared without proper verification.
“Goldmyne, why would you do this? Don’t you verify your news before posting? This is seriously unfair,” she wrote.
She also reassured fans and loved ones that her family is safe and expressed gratitude to those who reached out after seeing the report.
“My family and I will never cry, nor sorrow… Thanks for checking on us, thanks for your calls and messages,” she added.
As of now, there has been no confirmation from emergency services or any credible authority indicating that such a fire incident occurred at the singer’s residence.
The situation highlights ongoing concerns about misinformation online, especially when unverified reports quickly gain traction and cause unnecessary panic.
