“I do not mean any harm to them” – Singer, Portable apologizes for threatening Headies award nominees, retract his statement

Portable, the fast-rising controversial artist, has apologized to the organizers of the Headies Awards 2022 for threatening co-nominees once more.

The musician threatened to kill anyone who won the prizes for which he was nominated in a viral video posted on Instagram last month. Both “Rookie of the Year” and “Best Street-Hop Artiste” nominations went to Portable. CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO.

His failure to retract his statement and apologize on his Instagram page may result in him losing the prize, the ceremony’s organizers warned in a statement in response to the viral video.

The organizers also disclosed that they had reported the issue to the police.

Taking to his Instagram page this morning, June 21, Portable issued a statement where he apologised and retracted his controversial statement.

Alongside his statement, the singer wrote in his caption: “On behalf  of myself my management and the entire Zeh nation I sincerely apologize for my unguarded utterances as I do not mean any harm to the nominees in any way The video has been deleted on my page and I appreciate all your support so far God bless my Fans God bless the headies.”
